WHY WE LOVE SNAPPER HOUSE! "There’s something special about our home that’s hard to put into words — but we’ll try. From the moment you arrive at Snapper House, a 2017 modern build, you feel a sense of calm. Maybe it’s the peaceful street, the friendly neighbours in Snapper Court, or the gentle sounds of local wildlife – wallabies, echidnas, rosellas, and cockatoos regularly drop by. We’re tucked into a quiet corner of Rhyll, just a short walk to the foreshore, the general store, post office, and one of the best nature walks on the island — the Rhyll Inlet. The outdoor spaces are where we find ourselves most days. Our wide back deck is perfect for laid-back BBQs with family and friends or simply relaxing with a drink in hand. The six-person heated spa is a favourite all year round, and when the sun hits the fire pit patio in the afternoon, it’s magic. We’ve got raised veggie beds, a chicken coop, and a pretty rose garden surrounded by an English box hedge. Inside, it’s all about comfort and connection. Every bedroom has its own en-suite, so whether it’s just us or a house full of guests, everyone has their own space.
