Profile: Tony joins Alex Scott and Staff Leongatha after a career spanning 40 years in local area with newspapers The Great Southern Star and Yarram Standard, bringing him experience on several levels.
His involvement in journalism will assist with the construction of strong property profiles during the listing stage. His many years work in marketing and advertising for business clients will be a good fit for pointing out the attributes of a listing and understanding customer needs.
Tony has been involved in a several local organisations over the years including the Stony Creek and Leongatha Football Netball Clubs, the Leongatha Business Association, Leongatha Lyric Theatre and Leongatha Cycling Club to name a few.
He has conducted many people profiles for the paper, written front page news stories and has covered for the newspaper the opening of many new businesses.
He has also covered a lot of events over the years including agricultural shows, football grand finals, the Daffodil Festival, art shows, car shows, Lardner Field Days and the Tarra Festival.
Tony has met a diverse range of people over the journey which will help develop a solid connection with clients in real estate, an industry he has wanted to be involved in for a long while. He appreciates the opportunity been afforded to him by a company that’s been part of the fabric of Gippsland since 1886.
In his spare time Tony likes to ride his road bike in competitive bunches, play a round or two of golf, and loves to spend time with the family at the beach, camping or on long bush walks.
His wife Roz is a general practitioner in Inverloch. He has a son working in the insurance industry in Melbourne, a daughter doing biomedicine at the University of Melbourne and the youngest daughter is in secondary school.
